Re: Recent Snow Storms

Recently Stafford was slammed with 2 historic snowfalls. The emergency system in Stafford County was taxed to its limits on several occasions. The county asked for our staffing levels to handle emergencies during this time and we answered well and loud. Several of you stayed over a several days period and handled everything mother nature could throw at you. We dealt with all emergency responses quickly and safely. I am proud to be associated with all of you that were involved during these emergencies. A special thanks goes to Don Mills for plowing and moving tons of snow. Special Thanks also goes to Debbie & John Norman for several times bringing homemade food items to the station. Food was also brought in and cooked by Janet Mills and Sharon Kelley thanks for all your help. Last but not least a large lasagna was prepared by Mike Pecks wife Heather. All the food went down very good and was greatly appreciated. The members that stood by for several days are owed a great bit of gratitude by myself and the whole department. We couldn’t have done it with out you. Thanks seems small to say.  And I offer you my personal gratitude, and my gratitude goes to all the families who sat at home alone.  In the words of Winston Churchill “Never before was so much owed by so many to so few. “
