On 13 Mar 2010, four members of the Rockhill VFD took a road trip to Wallops Flight Facility in Accomack Country to attend a two day Virginia Department of Fire Programs (VDFP) sponsored Rope Rescue Awareness Class. This class taught the basics for knot tying, static and dynamic anchor rigging, and single rope rappeling. It was a great class and the local community were very accomadating!
After the class was complete, the Rockhill members were provided a tour of the Wallops Air Facility Fire and Rescue Station and even given a chance to go out in one of thier new Crash and Salvage ARFF trucks.
